In order to complete an inspection request in SmartInspect, there are several conditions that must be met:
- Inspection Request Generated - If a building or occupancy does not have an inspection request generated, it cannot have an inspection completed upon it.
Tip: If an occupancy has an inspection request generated for it, it will have a blue pin that can be accessed from the Inspections map.
- All Inspection Fields Completed - All the fields within an inspection section that affect the outcome of the inspection must have a value entered. Typically, these fields will be Yes/No fields. If this condition has not been met, an error message will appear when the Email Report button is selected, indicating that some fields have been missed.
- Email Report - In order for the inspection request to be successfully completed, the inspection report must be sent as an email. Typically, this is sent to the building contact. SmartInspect uses the iOS Mail app to send Emails.
Once the inspection email has been successfully sent, the inspection request will be removed from the device: the inspection history on the Administrative Interface will be automatically updated to account for the completed inspection.
