For the most part, no. The CityScape Suite platform is designed for data collection to be completed on the SmartCapture and/or SmartInspect mobile applications.
However, there are a number of ways in which users can create and add content to a building or occupancy.
- Creating a New Building - New buildings can be created from the Map View within the SmartCapture tab of CityScape Admin. These buildings will be empty, but can then have content added to them through the mobile application. A video explaining this process is embedded below.
- Importing Images from PDF - An import function in CityScape Admin allows users to import pages of PDF files—as images—into a building information plan. For more information, please see Can I import content from PDFS into a building information plan in SmartCapture and/or SmartInspect?
- Creating a New Occupancy/Inspection Request - A function of SmartInspect, users can create new inspection requests from the SmartInspect tab of CityScape Admin. If the occupancy already exists, a new inspection request will be generated. If it is a new occupancy, generating the inspection request will also create a new building information plan.
