SmartMAP can be set up on Windows devices by installing a security certificate and then accessing it via the Chrome Browser. Other browsers can also be used, with similar installation steps.
Note: SmartMAP certificates are installed on Google Chrome through the browser settings. These settings can be accessed by selecting the button in the top right of the browser, then navigating to . Alternatively, these settings can be accessed by entering the following in the browser address bar: chrome://settings/privacy.
Note: If you downloaded the certificate and select the file from your Downloads, the certificate import wizard will open automatically.

Select Manage Certificates
A certificate management window will open.

Select Import
A certificate import wizard will open.
- Select Next

Use the File Browser to select the certificate
Troubleshooting: If you can't see the downloaded certificate, ensure that the file type being searched is set to either Personal Information Exchange or All.
- Select Next
- In the password field, enter the certificate password
- Select Next
- Select Next
Note: The certificate should be installed in the Personal store. This should be selected automatically, but you can confirm by selecting Manual and then selecting the Personal store.
- Select Finish
A SmartMAP certificate has been successfully installed on Windows for use with Google Chrome. You can now navigate to SmartMAP at https://smartmap.cityscape-suite.com (.ca for Canadian users).
