Can I share access to my department's building info plans with another department?

Yes. A department can either give another department access to a single building information plan using either the Share Link feature, or several departments can be added to an APX Agency Group, a feature that facilitates sharing of data for Mutual/Auto Aid partners.

Share Link

The Share Link feature allows a SmartView user to provide temporary access to a single building information plan. It can be sent via SMS message, or by email. Share links expire after a set amount of time, configured through the SmartView tab of CityScape Admin. A building info plan shared via a Share Link will not display the Share button.

The Share Link feature is designed for one-time, atypical sharing of building information plans, and is not intended for use in Mutual/Auto Aid agreements.

Agency Group

The Agency Group feature allows two or more APX customers to be added to a group that allows shared access to each other's building information plans. This feature is designed to let partner agencies give unencumbered read-only access to critical building information, and is meant to facilitate better info sharing during Mutual/Auto Aid responses.

Agency Groups can be setup on request by the APX Customer Care team, and is available at no extra charge to all APX customers using SmartView. All that is required from APX is written consent from all participating departments.
