The procedure for adding a Google Earth link is a two-step process: copying a Google Earth link, and adding it to a Pre-Plan.
Note: to complete this process, the Google Earth application must be installed on the iOS device.
Copying a Google Earth Link

Open the Google Earth application

Tap the search button (magnifying glass) in the Google Earth menu

Using the search bar, search for the desired location

Once the map has zoomed to the desired location, tap the Share button (square with an arrow coming out the top)

Tap Copy

Close Google Earth
Adding a Google Earth Link to a Pre-Plan

Open SmartCapture
-
Open a Pre-Plan to which you want to add a Google Earth Link

Open the Site Plan section (or whichever section contains the URL field to which you want to save the Google Earth link.)

Select Tap To Set URL

Tap and hold the text field for the Link field
Result - the Paste option will appear. -
Tap Paste to paste the copied link

Remove any extra text or spaces before or after the URL
Troubleshooting Tip - A ‘Malformed URL’ error will be presented if there is any extra text, so this step is very important. Ensure that there are no hidden spaces after the URL. -
Tap the keyboard down button to dismiss the keyboard

Optional - Add a descriptive name within the Display Text field

Tap Submit

Tap Save to save the link
