The following article outlines how to replace a SmartMAP certificate on Windows. SmartMAP certificates have a default expiration of 5 years for security reasons, so they will need to be periodically updated.

Alert: The procedure below is for a device running Windows and accessing SmartMAP via Microsoft Edge. For iOS devices, see the corresponding guide. For other browsers on Windows, the menu options may be slightly different.
1. In the device browser application, select Settings.

2. Click "Manage certificates"

3. Select Manage imported certificates from Windows

4. Select the expiring certificate and then Remove. Confirm deletion of the old certificate by selecting Yes in the pop-up.

5. Close all instances of the browser. Then re-open and navigate to CityScape Admin (https://cityscape-suite.com or .ca).

6. In the SmartMAP or SmartView tab, select Download next to the updated certificate.

Tip: It will likely have the same name as before, but with an updated Expire Date.
7. Navigate back the certificates settings: (MS Edge shortcut - edge://certificate-manager/) and select Manage imported certificates from Windows.

8. Select Import.

9. In the Certificate Import Wizard, complete the following:
- Select Next
- Locate and select the downloaded certificate by selecting Browse
- Select Next
- Input the certificate password (contact APX if required)
- Select Next
- Select Next
- Select Finish
Click "Browse..."
Click "Next"
Click "Password:"
Click "Next"
Click "Finish"

Tip: If the import is successful, you'll receive a pop-up indicating this. Select OK to dismiss.
Alert: When navigating back to SmartMAP, you may be asked to select your updated certificate. Be sure to select the certificate if prompted.
10. In a browser tab, navigate back to SmartMAP (https://smartmap.cityscape-suite.com or .ca).
